PAULA JORGENSEN

2005 – Present: Mighty Moose Ice Hockey Club:  Founder & President

2006-2012 Inter-County Scholastic Hockey League (ICSHL):  Director of Girls’ Division

2004-2006:  Conestoga Girls Varsity  Founder and Manager

Paula founded the MIghty Moose in 2005 with the sole purpose of providing a home for girls and women who wanted to play ice hockey.  The Mighty Moose soon became an extended hockey family for its players.

Over the course of the years our program has grown into a competitive level and although we are proud to have reached that level of competition, we have not turned our back on the developmental side of our program which enables us to help new players and create a internal feeder system for our more competitive levels.  Our “Rookies” of today are our skilled players of tomorrow.

Paula is the heart and soul of the Mighty Moose and she personally nurtures and encourages every single player herself, ensuring they are given the best possible opportunities to develop as hockey players and people.

KENT STUEVE

Kent Stueve is by far one of the most knowledgeable hockey coaches, I’ve had the privilege of working with.  He is also fiercely dedicated to the development of girls and women’s hockey, a feat he has managed to accomplish not only on the Moose but also for Downingtown East’s Girls Varsity team.

Coach Kent has two very accomplished hockey playing daughters one of which headed and now assists in the coaching of our 19U AA and Adult teams.  He is remarkably patient, great with concepts and incomparable at sharing his knowledge with his players of all ages and skill levels.

Kent Stueve is a USA Hockey Level 4 Certified Coach but mostly he is a friend and one of the biggest assets this club has.  We are thrilled and proud of him and his dedication to the Mighty Moose and hope this will continue for many years to come.

JOSEPH RACITI

Joe grew up in nearby Delaware. Being a life-long Flyers fan and street hockey veteran, Joe took to the ice a little later than most, playing high school hockey for William Penn and then D1 college club for the University of Delaware. Joe took a break from the playing side while raising his family, but then stepped back on the ice for adult league play and refereeing while living in Colorado.

He has supported his son Kyle throughout his hockey development (Exton Kings, Junior Flyers, Quakers and Downingtown East) by assisting with practices and coaching for several Exton Kings teams.  Joe enjoys teaching others about the game that he has loved for most of his life and currently supports his wife’s participation and development as a Mighty Moose adult player.
His coaching with the Moose is the next step in that journey and he was looking forward to this new challenge which he conquered with high marks and great praise from his players and the club.

Coach Raciti holds a USA Hockey Level 3 Certification, he is also a certified USA Hockey Referee.
